With three decades of experience in Washington, Jeff Surrell is a seasoned expert in guiding clients through complex political, reputational, and public affairs challenges. As a Senior Executive (General Manager) at Edelman, the world’s leading communications firm, Surrell managed high-impact practice groups, including corporate communications, public affairs, higher education, advocacy, and opposition research.
During his 20+ years at Edelman, Surrell worked closely with the agency’s influential leadership team, including Michael K. Deaver. Together, they collaborated on Deaver's books about the Reagans, most notably the New York Times bestseller A Different Drummer: My Thirty Years with Ronald Reagan.
With experience in both Congress and the executive branch, Surrell brings proven expertise in media strategy, crisis and issues management, reputation recovery, and public affairs. He has advised Fortune 100 companies, prestigious universities, top trade associations, and nonprofit organizations, managing critical relationships with major media outlets across broadcast, print, and cable platforms.
